Empathic Biz Tip: Lets Get Structured, Honey 🍯

As an Empathic Business Owner, time and energy are always at a premium. So having the right business structure is essential.

One of the ways that I got over burn out was to develop packages vs hourly rates.

When I first started, I did VIP Days for 997 with 2 follow up sessions. As you can imagine, I was always in a selling mode and not making much of a profit.

I had a soul sucking day job, The Power of Girlhood, my leadership program for girls, and produced a poetry series…

Burnout was understatement. Panic attacks were common, IBS and to top it all off a fibroid tumor growing!

I had to switch up my program to not only be able to show up better for my clients but for myself.

Here are a few models for you to explore and see what feels good to you in your business if you feel like your current set up is leading you to a place of burnout.

⚡️ 1:1 Clients or RFP (Request for Proposals)

Whether you want to work with an individual or take on a corporate client this model can provide you with sustainability if your offer is measured with outcomes and deliverables.

Change takes time and integration.

So I recommend 3 months to 9 months for 1:1 coaching clients and if you are an agency, corporate or working with institutions it can take 6 months to 3 years depending on scope and how many participants you have.

Some have shorter time frames like a workshop series to be completed over a few weeks or months but make sure when you are pricing your services include pre and post labor, material development and support staff such as a VA, sales team, technical support.

⚡️ Group Coaching/Master Minds

This is one of my favorite structures because it’s impact is phenomenal and it ripples.

So after you have a few 1:1 clients or you co-facilitate a program, this can be both rewarding and lucrative.

In this model you can do it in a range of 12 weeks to a year depending on areas of focus and depth of service. You can meet weekly or biweekly and create pods depending on how many people you have.

Pricing can range from $400 to 10K+ again depending length of time needed and if it is high touch meaning more of your personal engagement.

⚡️ Paid Membership/Circles

These can range from daily engagement on a platform and monthly themed events and meet ups to a private newsletter community.

Memberships range in price too. So 47-500+ a month this can be a great way to introduce your work to people who are not familiar with your work or an add on to your 1:1 or after group program alumni.

You can host a monthly circle at a small investment or create a package for the series, for example if you meet weekly you can change flat rate vs drop in rate or if you meet monthly, charge for 3, 6, 9 or annual subscription.

⚡️ E-Course or On Demand Workshop

These are great especially when you are a little more established and have a list or you can do these free to build up your list as a part of your client journey.

E-courses and on demand workshops can range in price as well and you can include a 1:1 session with you after the workshop or course for additional support and investment.

These are typically evergreen and are part of your core offerings.

When you are looking to scale your business, it is important to pick a model that works for you and those you are called to serve.

Packages and long term contracts will help you grow your business with sustainability.

This is not an exhaustive list but it is a great place to start. Let me know if this resonates with you and share your experiences with me.

Until Next Time!

Love and Inspiration,

Ber-Henda Williams
