Woman of the Week: Payton Harvey

Payton Harvey is a passionate and driven public health professional with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Sciences from the University of Michigan. With a strong focus on health education and community outreach, Payton has gained extensive experience through global health programs, including a recent immersive study in South Africa.

Payton has worked with the CDC and various community health organizations, particularly focusing on maternal and child health, vaccine outreach, and HIV/AIDS research. In addition to her public health work, Payton is an entrepreneur, founding the EmpowHer Group LLC, a for-profit initiative aimed at empowering young girls in Metro Detroit.

Through EmpowHer, Payton created and oversees the Annual Payton Harvey Cheer EmpowHer Camp, fostering leadership, self-efficacy, and healthy living among young girls.
